Olive Oil Tasting and Cooking Lesson

During the tour, the participants will visit a Cretan Olive Oil Farm that has a 130-year-old olive press, which was retrieved from the village of Vrouchas. The participants will firstly assist in the process of the traditional olive oil production and then taste a selection of olive oils as well as some other homemade products (olive pastes, sundried tomatoes, capers, wine, raki).

 

Following the olive oil tasting, the participants will visit a traditional village for an unforgettable experience, as the ladies’ association will conduct a cooking lesson during which they will prepare Cretan specialties. In addition, a local shepherd will demonstrate how to prepare the local ‘’mizithra’’ cheese.

 

At the end of the tour, the participants will enjoy a unique home-made lunch, which is prepared and cooked by the ladies’ association.
